its seems that the moma is finally showcasing film along with other works of art. people are noticing too - the little theatre was quite full, quite telling as this program was shown about a month ago. i'll bet it would fill right up if the film listings were easier to find on the moma website. complaining aside, it was wonderful to see and there are two more cornell programs this month.

I hope to catch the Cornell program #3, either this Thursday with the amazing Larry Jordan presenting, or a week from Friday.
I have not yet gotten into the swing of taking advantage of SFMOMA's film presentations. I think I caught one of the Renoirs, and one of the Herzogs. But I'm definitely going to MOTHER AND THE WHORE.
As for snow, right now I can't get past the gorgeous snow scenes in FLESH AND THE DEVIL. Which is on DVD if you missed it this weekend.
i was already sad that i missed the silent film mini-fest, now i learn i also missed snow on the big screen....
but that other film program at the moma looks great, 'specially fassbinder. the renoirs i saw were outstanding too.
Interesting to know.
