Mountain films were popular in Germany during the early days of cinema. This one, starring Leni Riefenstahl, was likely filmed silent with sound added in post-production. That the words don't quite match the lips of the actors doesn't make a bit of difference. It is such a joyful ode to snowy peaks that I'm dedicating the rest of snow month to it's images. Enjoy.
