Looks great, doesn't it?
Its always such a pleasure to discover previously unknown great films,
like uncovering a beautiful shell at the beach.
Sadly, this is not one of them.
Oh, its fine and all. Just not great.
Perhaps it turned out great - I didn't finish it.
The characters became annoying after spending so much
time with them as they did nothing.
The time would have been better served with more singing by Pedro Infante.
Let's just look at these images and dream, OK?

I watched Nosotros los ricos recently, and I liked it fine. Not visually distinguished however (aside from Pedro's physique, of course!). Been meaning to see this one as well, and Pepe le Toro too.
On a slightly different note, can't wait for the PFA's Aventurera screening this summer!

Oh, I didn't notice Adventurera had been scheduled! Quel excitement!
I would be quite happy looking at and listening to Pedro Infante sing for a full three hours even if nothing else happened in the film. I may give the sequels a chance one of these days....
